The #1 Reason You’ll Never Get Your Dream Body: Strategies For Permanent Transformation

Look. The truth is that 99% of the diet and fitness industry is bullshit, designed to keep you on the hamster wheel. Think of it like this: its very existence literally depends on keeping you around. I’m not saying there’s a big conspiracy going on, but its definitely not in their best interests to solve the systemic problems that seems to plague the industry..mainly, repeated failure.

Radicals only please

The only way to have a true transformation is to create a radical shift in your life. Everything needs to change. Without this, you’ll fail over and over again. Trust me, I’ve been there and it’s not fun. The biggest mistake I’ve made on my journey was subscribing to the status-quo and accepting the models and systems I was given.

‘conventional wisdom’ is the real killer of progress. If you want average results, listen to what everyone else does. If you want to have the kind of transformation where you can’t recognize your old self, where you effortlessly look great and enjoy living a healthy lifestyle. You need to go to war.

Yes, war. Not just with your body but with your mind, your attitude, and the status-quo. It’s not going to be easy, but when (or if) you come out the other side, you will feel unstoppable. This is the mark of a true transformation. You have to kill your old self, so that you can be reborn. By the way, if you’re not feeling uneasy yet, you’re not paying enough attention.

The 3 Punch Combo

If you think you can have a radically different body and not change the way your mind works, then good luck. Your mind is either your biggest enemy or biggest ally. If you have it conditioned, the whole process will be almost effortless. If on the other hand it’s working against you, then get ready for hell. The point of conditioning your mind is that you’ll no longer be waging an internal war over whether to eat the pizza or salad, you’ll actually want the salad. This is how you win in the long term.

It takes a bit of time and a bit more effort to condition the mind, which is why we simultaneously shock the body. This is where you’ll see a radical shift in your body composition and create the mental space you need for a transformation to take place. If done right, the two aspects will fuel each other.

The last stage is the ‘letting go’ stage. This is where you stop trying so hard and let your automatic responses guide you. If you’ve done stage 1 and 2 right, then you’ll find that you can almost effortlessly maintain your new self. Sounds simple right? In practice it takes a few attempts, but if you don’t learn step 3 then what’s the alternative? think about it…

This three punch combo is like sending something into orbit. If the takeoff isn’t powerful enough, you’re falling back down to whatever planet you were trying to escape from, pirate. The point is that after each failed takeoff attempt (yes it will probably take a few attempts) you go back to the drawing board and get ready for relaunch, until you hit orbit. If you look at any transformation, in any area, you’ll see this general process.

This is why we use short, intense and strategic bursts of energy. You need to time your attacks if you want to win this war. It will feel like your getting a shot of adrenaline to the heart. Not for the weak. Yet very, very effective at making long term changes. Remember, the body is lazy by default, so our job is to shift the default. It takes work before the new patterns are on auto-pilot, but auto-pilot is the goal and it’s 100% achievable. This doesn’t sound sexy and doesn’t sell, but its the truth. Even if you don’t know it yet, what you truly want is effortlessness, a healthy relationship with food and your body and to feel vitality coursing through your veins. There are many more layers to this process, that I will get into later. From engineering your environment, methodically installing new habits, to figuring out what foods and activities your body thrives on. This is just the outermost layer. We’re building the foundations here.

Transforming your body is the result of a great lifestyle. A great lifestyle is the result of good choices. Good choices are the result of a conditioned mind. A conditioned mind is the result of an effective process.

Fat loss protocols and strength programs are vehicles, but the focus should be on the lifestyle you want, because this is where you’ll spend most of your time. Most people spend the majority of their time in the vehicles. Be really honest with yourself and ask if you really want this. If you decide you do, you’ll have to prepare for the journey.

Would you enter the depths of hell without some supplies? I didn’t think so. So why would you try to undergo a transformation without preparing your mind and body? You have to look at this like a war, fought in a few (Or if like me you’re a bit slow, a lot of) strategic battles.

I’ll end with these words. This isn’t really about looking good and being strong. This is about embarking on a journey of self discovery and self mastery. It’s what you uncover about yourself and human nature that gives this process the potential to be life changing. This is just the tip of the iceberg, get ready for more.
